Dark shapes flitted through the undergrowth, their bellies pressed close to the damp ground. They travelled in a group, slinking side by sidetowards a steep hill. At the head of this patrol was a dark brown tabby she-cat. Her green eyes glowed as she and her patrol reached the top of the clearing. She looked around, her mouth slightly parted to catch the scent of any other cats, but there were none. RiverClan was the first to arrive. With a silent signal to the cats following her, Willowstar launched herself down the hil, her claws scrabling on the rocks and rough plants. When she reached the bottom she nodded to her deputy, took one last sniff, then made her way toward the massive rock on which the leaders sat during the gathering.
((Alrighty!!! The Gethering has now officially started, I beleive! Oh by the way, sorry my post kinda sticks :] I have like no brain power today what so ever.))

Rowanstar raced through the ferns, feeling them whip at his tabby fur. His ears were pricked for the sound of cats, and his warriors pounded the gorund behind him as they ran. The ShadowClan patrol raced through the undergrowth, ignoring the prey that scuttled out of their path. Suddenly, the land fell away and Rowanstar skidded to a halt before he burst through the bushes and tumbled into the Four Trees clearing. He flicked his tail for his warriors to stop. He paused, gazing down into the moon washed clearing. RiverClan had already gthered, and he noticed Willowstar padding toward the Great Rock. With another flick of his long tail, Rowanstar charged down the slope, dust rising behind him. The ShadowClan cats filled the clearing, some of them hissing for others to get out of the way. Rowanstar slowed his pace and the patrol began to break off, cats going to converse with the RiverClan warriors. The ShadowClan leader sniffed and padded over to join Willowstar on the Great Rock. He wrapped his tail around his paws and bowed his head. "Good evening, Willowstar," he meowed cooly to the RiverClan leader, "How is the prey running?" ~ Tigersoul raced down the slope after his leader. He nearly ran into a small, red-furred apprentice in his haste to enter the clearing, and muttered a half-hearted apology. He too slowed his pace as Rowanstar did, and looked around for something to do, or someone to talk to. His eyes searched out the young apprentice, Batpaw. He admired the little scrap. Tigersoul found himself wondering if he would become Batpaw's mentor. He set off in search of the apprentice, or even anyone to talk to. ~ Robinwing padded through the sea of cats, her three siblings following closely behind her. Sandpaw had a scathing look on her narrow, face is if she didn't want to be here with all these other cats. Greypaw bounded along, his face lit up with excitement. Redpaw padded regally by Robinwing's side, trying to look like he belonged here. Robinwing chuckled. He tried so hard to be worthy, he hardly ever had time to have some fun. Not like Greypaw. Robingwing remembered him as a kit. Playful, happy, always looking on the bright side of life. Even though he was the runt, he made for his lack of size in his big heart and contagious joyfulness. Sandpaw sniffed the air, and her lip curled. "ShadowClan." she mewed. Robinwing grinned. "Well done. Yes, they are on their way." As if on cue, Rowanstar burst through the undergrowth, his patrol of ShadowClan cats following closely behind. Robinwing stopped where she was, trying to avoid the racing ShadowClan cats, and Greypaw hid behind her. Sandpaw let out a small hiss, and Robinwing gave her a scolding look. Where was Redpaw? Robinwing spotted him heading toward another RiverClan apprentice, Lilypaw. "Redpaw, wait!" she called. Suddenly, a small, rich tabby warrior raced past her and nearly crashed into Redpaw. It was Tigersoul, a very repected yet irritable ShadowClan warrior. She heard him mutter an apology to Redpaw, but knew he didn't mean it. Her younger brother shot back to her, his hackles raised. "Mouse brain," he hissed after Tigersould Robinwing gave him a serious look, and he met it equally. "What? He almost knocked me over!" Robinwing sighed at her brother. "You should be more careful," she meowed, then padded on. She looked around for Dawncloud, a she-cat she knew from ShadowClan, and Rowanclaw's brother. She was no where to be found.

((ooc: Akk...my posts today lack length...))
Two RiverClan warriors flanked a younger cat; possibly an apprentice as they followed Willowstar to Fourtrees.
"It's your first Gathering, Drizzlepaw!" exclaimed Dewdrop, pressing her muzzle into her half-brother's cheek. Her true brother, Fallenleaf, merely grunted something from Drizzlepaw's other side.
"Yes...I'm rather...nervous...I don't know anybody..." the apprentice admitted, following his siblings to a patch of grass nearby where they settled down.
---
Gryphonstar padded out of the shadows, looking around with a guarded look on his face; nothing like his usual cheerfulness. The WindClan leader's eyes searched until he barely spotted Rowanstar out of a mess of cats.
So many more cats than last time... he thought, padding over to his fellow leaders, dipping his head in welcome.
"Greetings, Willowstar and Rowanstar. I see ThunderClan is nowhere in sight..." Gryphonstar said politely, frowning at the lack of Lightstar.
---
Again? Why me... sighed Batpaw grudgingly in his mind, padding in the clearing. He should have just skipped this...wait....that was an idea. A rather grand one too.
I shall just...skip the blasted Gathering. Nobody shall miss me... he thought, looking around the clearing to see the coast was indeed clear. The dark apprentice broke into a small smirk, turned and headed off for the frolic...

Lightstar raced as fast as she could, her clan panting behind her. Se skidded to a halt at fourtress and bounded up to Highrock. Pnating, she climbed it and gave the older leaders a nodd. the she-cat sighed and tried to catch her breath.

Rowanstar glanced over as Lightstar heaved herself up onto the Great Rock. The young leader had clearly run the entire distance from ThunderClan camp to Fourtrees. He grinned slightly at Lightstar's energy and determination, then wiped the smile quickly from his face. Rowanstar cared only for his warriors and his Clan and his position as leader. But he couldn't stop thinking of Lightstar. It bothered him to no end, but her sleek body still lingered in his mind. He shook his head vigerously. ~ Owlspirit and Flameheart bounded down the slope after Lightstar, panting to keep up with her break-neck pace. As they and the other ThunderClan warriors charged into the clearing, Flameheart nealy stepped on Owlspirit's paws. He skidded to a halt a few mouse lengths in front of a small she-cat who smelled of WindClan. He grinned sheepishly and slunk away, embarassed. He heard Owlspirit snorting in laughter and cuffed him over the ears. The tabby warrior hissed mockingly, and shoved his shoulder into Flameheart's. "Come one, you ol' lump," Owlspirit teased the older warrior. He lead the way over to the edge of the gatehring cats and the two friends sat down, waiting for the Gathering to start. ~ Littlewing yowled as a flame coloured warrior nearly bowled her over. She shrunk away as well, hackles raised. She watched him slink away to his companion, then shuffled away herself, looking for some one she knew. She tried to skope out another medicine cat, but couldn't find one. So, she found a small spot in the center of the clearing, and seated herself there, curling her tail around her small, dainty paws. ~ Tigersoul was about to give up looking for Batpaw when he saw the young cat sneaking off to the slope out of Fourtrees. He furrowed his brow and trotted over to the apprentice, wondering where he was going. When he reached Batpaw's side, he touched his tail tip to his shoulder. "What are you up to?" he asked suspiciously. He waited for Batpaw to answer, stepping in front of him slightly.

Lightstar smiled as she saw Owlspirit and Flameheart tumble into the clearing. She saw Tigersoul slinking away to follow Batpaw who was leaving the geathering. Lightstar's ear twitched. "Rowanstar?" She mewed, "Is Batpaw always like that?" She ran a paw over her silver tabby head, and flicked her tail. ________________________________
Silverpaw trotted around the group of cats, her tail held high. She spotted Rowansatr smiling at Lightstar, Rowanstar smiling? She tilted her head, then he looked away. She shrugged and went to find Batpaw.

"What business is it of yours?" Batpaw spat boldly at Tigersoul, not in the mood to discuss such things. He just wanted to get out of this crowd, the sooner the better, without attracting attention...and Tigersoul was in the way of that.
---
I suppose we shall begin... Gryphonstar thought, leaping up apon the Great Rock as well. He had nothing to report for WindClan this time. Absolutely nothing.
"What trouble now?" he asked, at the mention of a conversation arising between Lightstar and Rowanstar. He knew nothing of this 'Batpaw' character.
---
Dewdrop looked around the clearing, barely able to see any RiverClan cats. She saw no Willowstar, even.
"Where are all the RiverClan cats?" she hissed to Fallenleaf, who shrugged lightly.

Lightstar looked at Gryphonstar, "oh, it just looks like an apprentice is sneaking of." She said smoothly, watching the black apprentice slinking away, followed by a warrior.

Winterflight, Redpelt, and Snowfeather padded into the gathering clearing. Winterflight looked around to find the cat she was desperet to find. She relized that the cat was simply not here. Redpelt and Snowfeather sat down a few tail-lengths away from the Great Rock. "Snowfeather, how is Scarletleaf's training doing?" Redpelt asked Snowfeather. "She is a fast learner, Redpelt." Snowfeather replied. Redpelt looked up at the Great Rock. "When will Gryphonstar, Rowanstar, Lightstar, or Willowstar start?" Redpelt asked quietly to Snowfeather. She replied, "When they want to, Redpelt." Meanwhile Winterleaf had padded over to a snow white she-cat apprentice and stormy gray tom. "Hello, I am Winterflight. What are your names?" They looked at each other. Snowpaw mew, "I am Snowpaw, and this is Stormtail. Hellow, Winterflight. We are from WindClan. This is my first time to the gathering." Stormtail gave Snowpaw a warning look and whispered in her ear, "Snowpaw, now don't go mewing all WindClan's secrets." Snowpaw gave Stormtail a reprotchful look. She stalked off. "Is Ravenstreak here?" Winterflight asked quietly. Stormtail mew back, "No, he has to gaurd the camp. I tell him you want to see him on the boarder." Winterflight dipped her head. She slipped back into the crowd again. She found a spot between Redpelt and Snowfeather. Winterflight sat down and waited for the gathering to start.

Dovewing looked up when she herd Ravensteak's name being said by a thunderclan cat. She watched Snowpaw and Stormtail trot away, then she walked up to the thunderclan she-cat. "Are you Winterflight?" She mewed, her tail twitching. ______________________________________________________ Firefox sat far away from the other cats. he closed his eyes, and imagined Wolfcry...with her beautiful, sleek pelt...

Winterflight turned around. "Yes I am Winterflight. Ravenstreak is just a friend."

Dovewing twitched her ears and eyed the she-cat suspiciously. Ravenstreak HAD been acting so strangly around camp latly. Staring into space, and dyadreaming on patrols. "Would you happen to know WHy Ravenstreak has been acting like he has bubbles in his head everyday then?"
