Lightstar raced into Shadowclan camp, ignoring the angry and surprised yowles. She stopped, panting heavily. The young leader had just ran from her own camp, where they had a bleeding Redpelt, and a dying Snowpaw. They had been attacked by lions...not like the ones from Lionclan. Lightstar knew that she and the other leaders had to get to moonstone now, this was getting out of hand. The young she-cat looked around at all the shadowclan cats, who were glaring at her. Well, why wouldn't they be? She was the thunderclan leader, in the middle of Shadowclan camp. Then she thought of the conversation she and Snowfeather had had about her feelings for Rowanstar....they were putting all of their lives at risk, but that is what leaders did...."I need to talk to Rowanstar!" She yowled at the group of Shadowclan, "It's urgent!" ___________________________________________________ Solofire had left the clan meeting naming the new deputy, angry that it was not him who was chosen. He growled as the thunderclan leader Lightstar raced into their camp. "Why should we let YOU see OUR leader!?" he snapped in the she-cat's face. He hissed at her, "You should just get out of our camp before I remove you!"

Bloodclaw nearly choked on the feathers of the thrush he was eating when he saw Lightstar charge into the clearing. Shoving away his meal, he rose quickly to his paws and trotted across the clearing to stand face to face with the ThunderClan leader. Nodding to Solofire, Bloodclaw snarled at Lightstar, pulling back his lips to show two rows of sharp, white teeth. "Why exactly would you want to talk to Rownstar?" He asked, his voice a low drawl. "Whatever it is, I'm sure it can wait until the next gathering. And besides, I think Rowanstar is busy right now. He will not share an audience with you." Without waiting for an response from Lightstar, Bloodlcaw turned to the warrior next to him. "Solofire, please escort the great ThunderClan leader out of our territory. She won't give you any truoble, I'm sure." And with that, Bloodclaw turned to return to his meal, completely sure that Lightstar would not object. ((Hehe I bet she's like "OH HELLZ NO!" holy poo I'm hyper O.o))

((No . . . we didn't guess that Willow. . . -_-'))
Rowanstar turned around in his nest, trying to fall asleep. He would need it if he were to prepare for the long journey ahead. He rested his head on his paws, going over the day's events. Bloodclaw being made deputy, Tigersoul acting so strangely. Odd. He knew that he was not one of Tigersoul's favorite cats, but he had never seen a look of such mutiny upon his face. It irked him, and made him feel anxious. But not anxious about his Clan. Every time he thought about Tigersoul, he imagined a river of blood and a hill of cat bones. And what was worse, what made him sick to his stomach, was the vision of Lightstar's limp body lying on the river bank. The thought sent shivers up his spine. Were Tigersoul's ambitions that bloodthirsty? Rowanstar shook his head, feeling sleep tug at the edges of his mind. He fell into the black of sleep, adn the fragments of a dream. Lightstar was racing into camp to yowls and snarls from Rowanstar's Clan. She wanted to see him, why he wasn't sure. Bloodclaw was sending her away, and Rowanstar heard the echo of his name being called. But it wasn't an echo. It was getting louder. He blinked open his eyes, expecting the dream to be gone. But he was wrong. "I need to talk to Rowanstar! It's urgent!" The ShadowClan leader gasped and sprang to his paws. Lightstar was here! Why? Why now? He growled at the sound of Solofire and Bloodclaw, their hostile voices carrying to his ears. He heard Bloodclaw send Lightstar away, and he began to charge out of his den. A small crowd of angry ShadowClanners had gathered, forming around an irritated and anxious looking Lightstar, who was confronted by Solofire. Bloodclaw was chewing on a thrush, obviously ignoring the situation. Rowanstar growled deep in his chest and stalked over to Solofire. He rammed his shoulder into his warrior's, snarling at him. "Back off, Solofire," he growled, then turned to Lightstar. She looked exhausted and utterly breathless. Odd. He felt like that too. And he hadn't even run a mile. Shaking his head and taking a deep breath, he puffed out his chest importantly. "Lightstar." he meowed curtly, "What brings you here that cannot wait until the next Gathering?" ~ Tigersoul padded into camp, grumbling. "Ungrateful, arrogant, stubbourn little--" He was cut off as a new scent hit him like a rock. ThunderClan! His nose was right. Lightstar was standing with Rowanstar in the center of the clearing, sharing urgent words. What could be going on? Tigersoul noticed Bloodclaw angrily tearing at a thrush. He trotted over to his friend, scowling as he passed the ThunderClan leader, and plopped down beside Bloodclaw. "What's going on here?" he asked grudgingly. "What does Lightstar want?" He glared at the back of Rowanstar's head, and Lightstar's face.

Lightstar didn't say a word when Bloodclaw told her to leave, she hissed at Solofire when he tried to make her leave, but she sighed with relife when Rowanstar appered, "Rowanstar!" She panted, "Thank goodness, we HAVE to get to moonstone now! There was an attack on the border of windclan and thunderclan. An apprentice, Snowpaw, was attacked and my warrio Redpelt was badly injured saving the apprentice. He said that the things that attacked him, are giant cats! No like the lions from Lionclan because they have no brilliant manes! That's what has been stalking throuhg the territories." She stopped to take an exausted breath, "That's why we have to go, my warrior Winterflight went with a windclan warrio to get gryphonstar and Willowstar, and we have to meet them!" She finished, panting. The leader had to admit, when she saw rowanstar bounding up to her, she almost let out a delited purr, but held it in. The young she-cat, even though she was a leader, had never before entered Shadowclan camp, even though she was secretly half Shadowclan herself. All the hostile stairs and threats made her fur stand on end. She would have to remind her own clan that id Rowanstar...any leader came into camp for an important, non fighting matter, to be polite to them. She licked her ruffled chest fur and made her silky silver fur lie flat. She held her long tail high as to show no submission to the warriors. She looked back at Rowanstar, her eyes glimmering with firmness, and a determination to go to the moonstone with him, and the other leaders. ______________________________________________________ Solofire growled with delite at being asked to escort lightstar away, but had to step back angrily when Rowanstar bumped him away with his shoulder. He hissed under his breath and stalked away. He sat down near the fresh kill pile and took out a chaffinch for himself to eat. He ignored the urgent, breathless, news that Lightstar was delivering to Rowanstar. Her head was shacking the whole time and her short fur was standing on end. Love to see her in a battle against us... he thought, glaring at her with such hostility, it was almost matching to Bloodclaw's and Tigersoul's.

Bloodclaw spat feathers out of his mouth in anger and tore at the wing of his thrush. Looking up when Tigersoul joined him, the dark gold-tabby warrior growled deep in his throat. "How shoul I know what Lightstar wants?" He hissed at his friend. "And, honestly, I don't much care for what happens to those pitiful ThunderClan cats anyway. If she thinks she can just come charging into our camp, unannounced, she's got another thing coming. Anyway, I'm sure Rowanstar will send her away. Even he can't respect a fellow leader when she enters his camp like this." When he finished speaking, the fur along Bloodclaw's spine was standing on end in hostility and his eyes glowed with the desire to rip Lightstar's ears off. What he wouldn't give to sink his long claws into the flesh of ThunderClan cat.

Icepaw, Jaypaw, and Lionpaw trotted up to the group of shadowclanners that were crowding around something, or someone. Rowanstar was the nearest to whatever it was. The three apprentices crawled through the legs of the older cats to get a look. "It's Lightstar!" mewed Jaypaw, "The thunderclan leader!" "What is she doing in out camp?" Mewed Lionpaw, thingying his head. "I hope rowanstar chases her outta here!" hissed Icepaw.
Silverpaw sat away from the crowd of cats, trying to look over their heads. "hey Silverpaw," mewed jaypaw, 'Come see this!" Silverpaw smiled at being welcomed and ran over to where Jaypaw was under another cat. She got down on her belly and joined her fellow apprentice. "that's lightstar, isn't it." she mewed. jaypaw nodded. "I just want to know why she is in out camp." Mewed lionpaw, who was on the other side of Silverpaw. Icepaw made a shushing sound and flicked his tail at them.

"Touch my leader, and it will be the last thing you do" Lynxclaw snarled, coming up behind Lightstar. She sensed the hostility ShadowClan was giving, and did not doubt it; Lightstar was foolish to have come into their camp without warriors to back her up. It showed a sign of weakness and disrespect.
"You should be grateful that she even comes to warn you. Remember that next time you try to claw her fur out" she added coldly, fur bristling along her spine.

"Lynxclaw?" mewed Lightstar. She had completly forgoten about her warriors, and was surprised to see her, with starfur behind her. She stood up straighter and looked back at Rowanstar, waiting for his reply. she prayed silently that he wouldn't be offened by her warriors.
"Wooooow!" Mewed Jaypaw ecitedly, "look at them! The thunderclanners have mucles just like ours, but look how sleek their pelts are!" icepaw rolled his eyes.

"Flameheart should be here soon" Lynxclaw reported, sitting herself to the ground and casting her icy gaze around at the ShadowClanners. Nothing but a few warriors, Rowanstar and some petty apprentices. None the less; she knew they were not welcome here.
Oh great...what now? Batpaw thought grimly, peering his head around from a bush to see a gathering of cats. ThunderClan....ShadowClan....nope, just from those two.
The skinny apprentice shouldered his way to the back of the crowd, and sat down, licking his chest absently with little to no concern. After all; this wasn't his problem.

Rowanstar looked around as his apprentice Icepaw came with hiw two siblings and Silverpaw. He heard Jaypaw mew her admiration about the ThunderClan cats. Rowanstar frowned. "Jaypaw, shh." He didn't want any cats of his Clan to compliment these ThunderClanners. But he did notice that their pelts were much sleeker than those of ShadowClan. Escpecially Lightstar. Rowanstar was so distracted by her stunning appearence, he nearly forgot what she had said to him. He shook his head and and bared his fangs at Lynxclaw to make her be quiet. Does she not know to be respectful to other leader? he thought, then realised he was being hypocritical. Solofire had done nearly the same with when Lightstar came into their camp. Lightstar's proposition was very important. The ShadowClan leader hadn't even decided which cats he would be taking with him to Moonstone. But the determination burning in Lightstar's eyes sparked something inside him, and he knew that she spoke wisdom beyond her years. Puffing out his chest, he turned to the gathered cats. "ShadowClan! Listen here and listen well!" He pasued as more and more cats stuck their heads out of their dens, and a few queens brought their stumbling kits out of the nursery. "It is as we feared. The creatures who have been trespassing on our territory are lions; not like the great kings of LionClan. They are indeed a threat to us, and we must leave now for Mother Mouth! The danger is even more great than before. The warriors accompanying me to Moonstone are Flosspelt, Patchpelt, Dawncloud, and Solofire. Bloodclaw, Tigersoul. . . you two will be in charge of runing the camp while I am gone." Rowanstar looked around and noticed Batpaw seated near the back of the crowd. "Oh, and Batpaw," he meowed to the sleek apprentice, "I'm leaving you in Tigersoul's care. He is your mentor, and you must do whatever he tells you to do. You are in charge of relaying messages betweent he Clans if anything should . . . go wrong. Is that understood?" Rowanstar noticed Tigersoul growl, but nod his head. The leader turned back to Lightstar, and meowed, "Where are we to meet Gryphonstar and Willowstar? I say we leave this instant; there is no time to waste." ~ Flameheart raced into the ShadowClan camp behind Lightstar and Lynxlcaw. He noticed that his leader was already telling Rowanstar the news and tht the ShadowClan leader had just called to his warriors. Flameheart padded up beside Lynxclaw, feeling very self concious about being in an enemy Clan's camp. He noticed Tigersoul, one of ShadowClan's fiercest warriors snarl as the ThunderClan warrior entered the camp. Flameheart did his best not to show how intimidated he was. The dark warrior had an air of great and deadly ambition, along with his friend Bloodclaw. He wondered if Rowanstar made the right choice in leaving the two ambitious toms in charge of his Clan.

Lightstar let out a breath of relife. "Willowstar and Gryphonstar should be at the shadowclan riverclan border by now, so that is our best bet." She mewed. She was so glad that Rowanstar belived her! She didn't like the way tigersould and Bloodclaw were reacting...leaving cats as ambitious as they are alone to care for the clan...oh well. She best not wonder on it. she looked over her shoulder at Lynxclaw and Starfur. She nodded to them to relax. They were in no danger right now... __________________________________________________________________________' Jaypaw flattened her eyes and put her head on her paws when she was scolded. Her brothers didn't even tease her this time. They just lied down beside her and listened. Silverpaw had her head up and was listening intently. 'Lions?' she thought, 'but...not like the ones from lionclan?' How was that possible? what kind of lions could they be? She looked over her shoulder at Batpaw. Him? the messager for the clans at the moment? She let out a breath and shifted herself so that she was further away from jaypaw and the others. Solofire growled from the back of the crowd. so...he would be going with them to Mothermouth? He sniffed.

Lynxclaw glared defiantly back at Rowanstar as he snarled at her. She had no reason to be respect to the likes of him. He was not her leader, so therefore she showed no loyalty or attactment that the bengal she-cat would show to Lightstar.
She also noticed the young black apprentice she talked to at the Gathering two moons ago. He looked just as thrilled as ever. Was it wise to put him on such a big task?
--
"Hrm." Batpaw nodded, slightly...but he nodded none the less, at Rowanstar's words. Gawd, Tigersoul's apprentice. What a nasty ring to it. Would he croak like his last mentor? Batpaw hoped, so hoped, so...but it was not good to keep his hopes up.

Shadowfoot could'nt belive it. The Thunderclan leader was welcomed into the camp. How could she respect a leader like that? How could Bloodclaw respect him?
