The sun shone overhead, bathing the ShadowClan camp in a warm new-leaf glow. A few cats lay near their dens, or shared tongues in the shade. All was peaceful, until three cats trotted into camp from the enterance. In the lead was a very satisfied looking Dawncloud, closely followed by Rowanstar, who had a disgusted scowl on his face. Behind them, the former kittypet Janna looked very proud of herself. As the trio entered the camp, heads turned and a few cats let out hisses of anger when they noticed Janna.

Janna's ears flattened when some cats hissed at her. she held her head up and looked around the camp, not showing her fear.
Icekit led his brother and sister into the camp clearing, his cheast puffed out. "Who's that?" Jaykit mewed, her tail puffing up. Icekit sniffed, "Kittypet!" He hissed. "How do you know?" Asked Lionkit. Icekit looked at his brother, pride in his deep blue eyes, "Rowanstar told me about collars!" Jaykit sniffed, "And collars are?" Lionkit looked at his sister, surprise in his eyes, "I thought YOU of all cats would know!" Jaykit moved her paws up and down, "I wonder what a kittypet is doing in our territory." "Especially our camp!" Hissed Icekit. He charged foward, followed by his brother. Jaykit sighed and followed.

"A kittypet? Is that right?" Batpaw yawned, coming up behind the three kits wearily.
I wanted some sleep...who does Rowanstar think he is causing this sort of trouble? the apprentice thought, eyes gazing over.
"Does this cat think they're Firestar?" he remarked boredly, settling himself down. "oh, save ShadowClan this time instead of ThunderClan..." he added lowly, eyes unwelcoming to the newcomer.

"I'm gonna chase that kittypet of our territroy!" Hissed Icekit. He began to run foward, but Jaykit grabbed his tail in her jaws. "No! Let Rowanstar speak first!" Lionkit sat near his sister and nodded, "Rowanstar is our leader, I'm sure he a...a..." "A good reason." Said Jaykit. Icekit sniffed and sat down relectuntly beside Batpaw.

Patchpelt opened one eye sleepily at the sound of hissing and mumbling cats. He looked boredly around the clearing, not seeing what the problem was at first. Then he caughta glimps of three kits scrambling over one another to get a better look at the three cats who were padding in though the camp entrance. Suddenly interested, Patchpelt heaved himself into a sitting position, gave his matted fur a quick grooming, then watched as Rowanstar waited for his clan to gather. Patchpelt noticed Danwcloud a few paces away from her brother. She was seated beside a very proud looking she-cat whom he didn't recognise. Then a strange scent reached Patchpelt's nose and he knew at once that she was a kittypet. "Why would Rowanstar be bringing a kittypet into the clan?" Patchpelt muttered to himself, as he often did.
The branches at the entrance to warriors den rustled as Bloodclaw shouldered his way out into the clearing. He swung his broad head from side to side, his keen eyes sweeping the camp to take everything in. At first, he saw Rowanstar seated in the center of clearing looking as though he had just called a meeting. Then his gaze fell upon a small, young she-cat sitting beside Dawncloud just off to the side. A deep growl rumbled in Bloodclaw's chest. He couldn't beleive that a kittypet was in the ShadowClan camp. He was about to stalk over to his leader and protest when he caught a glimps of the sheen on Danwcloud's pelt. For a short, yet very strange moment, Bloodclaw was mesmorized by her. He couldn't take his gaze off her shimmering eyes and her long silky pelt. It was confusing him. He had never felt so giddy before. Shaking his head roughly to clear it, he finally broke his gaze away from Dawncloud. But, as he stood at the entrance to the warrior's den, he completely forgot what he was going to do.

Janna examined the camp. There sure were alot of cats...and they were all glaring at her. She saw three young kits whispering to each other, there eyes on her. One of them, a she-kit, was staring at Janna with deep, peircing blue eyes. An older gold kit was kneeding the ground in agitation, his green eyes sparkling, while the last and the eldest kit was glaring at Janna. Janna held her head up and looked at all the cats, pride glimmering in her amber green eyes.
Jaykit continued to stare at the kittypet, her intrest sparking. "Do you think she's joining the clan?" Her brothers gawked at her like she was a badger.

Batpaw looked around at the group of cats, fur bristling lightly.
Great...drawing a group....I should leave... Batpaw muttered, eyes drawing themself to the ground. He sighed heavily at the other cats stupidity.
Of COURSE they're going to accept a kittypet in the Clan if the leader has TAKEN the cat INTO the camp... the apprentice thought.

Rowanstar glared around at the gathering cats, his face twisted in a disgusted snarl. Let's just get this over with, he thought. "Cats of ShadowClan..." His voice rang through the clearing, thick with anger and frustration. "I present to you a kittypet, name Janna. She was found on our territory, seeking refuge among our great ranks." Yowls of protest erupted from his cats and a sneer spread across his face. "A deal has been arranged. She will stay with us for a while, and if she can't take it," Rowanstar looked over at Janna and glared at her with malice in his eyes. When he spoke, his voice was a low growl. "If she can't take it, we'll chase her out so she may go back to her soft life with the twolegs." The ShadowClan leader chuckled evily and turned back to his audience, waiting for the protests and growls.

"Roawnstar!" Bloodclaw's voice could be heard loudly above the growling and spitting. Teeth bared and one eye kept on the kittypet, Bloodclaw sauntered up to his leader. "You would actually consider bringing a kittypet into our ranks?" He challenged, whispering harshly into his leader's ear. "I would have expected you, of all cats, to dismiss her upon sight. What has changed your mind?" Bloodclaw shot a disgusted glance at Janna when he finished.

Batpaw's eyes rolled; well, it was obvious that this Janna was not going to leave. They might as well accept her as a ShadowClan member right here and there.
He said nothing; for his opinion mattered little. His effort to chase the kittypet stretched only so far.

Rowanstar's lip curled as Bloodclaw stood up to him. He took a step towards the tabby warrior, thrusting his face forward so his nose was a mere inch from Bloodclaw's. "Don't doubt me, Bloodclaw. You're not leader of this Clan. If you want to take it up with someone, go talk to the kittypet-lover over there." He jerked his head to his sister who was sitting beside Janna. "Do not doubt me." Rowanstar hated it when cats challenged his power.
Dawncloud raised her head defiantly at the yowls and hisses of protest. Janna deserved to be here. She had as much skill as any apprentice of ShadowClan, and was clearly far more polite. Dawncloud leaned over to whisper in her new friend's ear, "Don't worry. They won't do anything too out of line. They think Rowanstar approves of you being here. They wouldn't dare defy him." She heard her brother hiss at Bloodclaw. She snarled at Rowanstar. "Leave him out of this, will you?" She glared at her brother, meeting his feirce gaze.

Janna shuffled her paws at the yowles of protest, "I didn't mean to cause so much trouble," She mewed loudly, "I want to be a clan cat, and that's that." She bowed her head nervously, as though the whole clan would pounce on her at once.
Jaykit sighed as her brother ran up to the kittypet and began hissing at her. She walked up to the kittypet, examining her. "The only thing that makes her look different, is that collar." She mewed. "Other then that she looks like any clan cat!"
